Cisco’s “Second Show” at EDUCAUSE 2011

Our team returned from the EDUCAUSE Show in Philadelphia, PA with pictures of many happy Cisco customers!  SPOON assisted Cisco not only with their exhibit space at this large higher education IT -based show, but also a special customer reception held at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown.

SPOON Events “met” with the Cisco team (using none other than WebEx!) to determine the objectives and size of the event, and we recommended the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown as the ideal venue. This hotel is situated in the heart of Center City in Philadelphia, and connected directly to the Philadelphia Convention Center.

With the help of Carl Alan, a local florist, SPOON Events put together practical floral centerpieces using Cisco’s corporate colors.  Cisco brand was present throughout the space via banner stands, GOBO lighting, blue up-lighting, table drapes (both on the registration table  and covering half walls opening to the entrance of the hotel), beverage napkins, etc.

Guests were greeted by the SPOON team, who made sure to scan EDUCAUSE show badges to account for which guests were present, and they were gifted some Cisco branded t-shits, too.

A delicious menu was selected and top-shelf beverages were up for grabs.  Not only did the guest eat up two WHOLE giant tenderloins, but did so in the first 30 minutes!  We all know how hungry you get after a long day on the show-floor!  A local jazz trio (Paul Sottile Jr.) brought an appropriate backdrop to conversation.

Take a peak at a few photos below, but be sure to see them all on our flickr stream!
